Our staff
Allen and Rocio Williams
Al and Rocio have served in Guayaquil, Ecuador since 1992 and have devoted most of this time constructing the Perhaps Today Camp.
Our name
During our eleven month stay in San Jose, Costa Rica,
in 1991, where Al was attending language school, we went to a
craft fair. We stopped at a booth which displayed wooden signs.
One of them had "Perhaps Today" written on it. The clerk
explained its meaning to us, saying that it referred to the
Lord's second coming. It's for certain that Jesus is coming back,
we just don't know when for sure. It could be perhaps today.
We appreciated the meaning of the small plaque and bought it. Six
years later, in 1997, when we needed a name for the camp, we knew
it had to be Perhaps Today.
About us
The Perhaps Today Camp was founded in January 1998. It
is located on the edge of the Ecuadorian jungle, 50 miles
southeast of Guayaquil, which is Ecuador's largest city of almost
three million people.
Currently we have beds for 70 campers and we will be adding 48
more within the next few months. The location is very favorable
for many outdoor activities. Truly, a great place to meet and to
communicate with God.
We have hosted 21 work groups since 1999. These have varied in
number from 2 to 29 persons. The main purpose for these groups
is construction. Now that we have many facilities available for
usage, we can offer working camps during these construction
projects.
Please feel free to contact us concerning your own work project,
sponsoring a camp, or any other way that we might be of service
to you.
